Untangling Disputed Liability with Video Technology

Overview
This presentation gives the audience a new outlook on the importance of thinking of their case visually, and ways to turn those visuals into a compelling presentation for mediation or trial.

  • The use of Madison Avenue caliber themes (DeWoody case);
  • Simplifying confusing evidence;
  • Energizing mundane evidence;
  • “Accident” and other case killing buzzwords;
  • Eyewitness “Walk and Talks”;
  • Visualizing medical timelines in MedMal cases (Anderson case);
  • Bringing highway construction site collisions to life (Caolie, Trotter cases);
  • Pros and cons of 3D animations;
  • Defendant depositions – the “60 Minutes” approach;
  • Video for mediation – tips and techniques for integration into your settlement demand;
  • If mediation fails, using the component parts of the mediation video at trial;

Purpose
Upon completion of this one-hour presentation, the attendee will have a renewed appreciation for the value visuals bring to the liability facet of the plaintiff case.

Over the years, Dave has produced hundreds of settlement documentaries for attorneys across the nation on virtually every imaginable subject. The greatest asset he brings to the table is the cross pollination of ideas from all the different projects and attorneys with whom he has had the pleasure to work.

His writings have been published in various AAJ/ATLA and regional legal journals. He has presented on numerous occasions at the AAJ/ATLA summer conference, and other regional CLE conferences. Prior to founding Image Resources, Inc., Dave worked as a producer for the Indiana Attorney General’s Office for six years, with Indiana State Police, in the news room at the ABC affiliate in Indianapolis, and putting together sales and training presentations for Fortune 500 companies.
