Wrongful Death Documentary
A Wrongful Death documentary video often uses interviews of coworkers, family, and friends, as well as photographs and home videos, to describe and show the decedent in their healthy, pre-injured state. By showing the survivors who are affected, the video establishes dependency, loss, and impact resulting from the person's death.
Wrongful Death documentaries introduce the viewer to the life of the plaintiff, giving a face to the name. It is a narrated presentation of chronological factual information to build the decedent's life story.
The goal of achieving an understated yet effective video is accomplished through the following process:
Arrangements are made with family members to receive photographs and videos of the decedent. These then must be reviewed, selected, time logged, and transferred to our non-linear editing computer.
Pre-interviews are conducted with key people in the plaintiff's life. A representative group is selected and on-camera interviews are conducted by our producers who have many years of video journalism experience.
Studio editing weaves the photographs, home video, interviews, background shots, and narration together to tell the story of the plaintiff.
